Kim called us at Unitests from Brighton to review why her Brivis Buffalo 20 heating controller was showing a low charge, despite Kim changing the batteries. We understand how important it is to have our heating systems working as the cold weather approaches!

Our licensed Gas plumber went out to service the ducted heating system that was located on the side of the house. After inspection our plumber found cracks in the system, which resulted in the system being capped off, as it violates the VBA regulations and is not safe for the household.

Having a cracked system can lead to the possibility of a carbon monoxide leak. Once our licensed plumber noticed cracks in the system, he checked for a leak, which are dangerous and if not caught early on, can be lethal. Carbon Monoxide leaks are found by placing soap around the leak site and if air or gas leaking out, it will cause bubbles to form. Within 2 days we were able to exchange and install Kim’s new Bonaire Gas ducted heating system, enabling Kim and her family to be set for the cold winter ahead.
